Unfortunately, I’m a working gal… so on Valentines day, I’ll be working, and go home and work some more. After dinner if I’m lucky maybe I’ll have a bit of time to sew (probably on my valentines table runner – if I haven’t got it done by then). So I’m crossing my fingers that my hubby will take me out to dinner on the weekend. A nice steak dinner would be awesome! Thanks for your drawing…. I’ve never played bunko, I just know of lots of people that do!

Looks like fun! For V-Day, we have no plans. I know that is boring though, so let me tell you what I wish we were doing. My husband would surprise me at work with a dozen fat quarters and whisk me off to a homemade dinner with white wine and crab and steamed asparagus and gluten free French bread straight out of the oven. He would drop hints all night about a “girl’s best friend” gift he bought me. After dishes are magically washed, he would unveil my gift: a longarm machine! or embroidery machine! or fat quarter bundle! or Quilter’s Bunco! Then I would swoon in his arms and we would finish the evening watching quilting videos in bed.
    A girl could dream…

This year I am planning to make a surprise Valentine’s Day Breakfast for my family members and I plan to give each one a box of Valentines to give away to others throughout the day.

Well, Valentines Day is kind of tricky for me. It is my little boy’s birthday too! We usually focus more on the birthday than to much lovey dovey stuff. It’s hard to make his day special and do all the Valentines things for everyone. Who knows what will happen this year?! Wish me luck!

My husband and I usually go out for a great date, but this year our regular Valentine’s date will be postponed. Our youngest (of 11) is being set apart as a missionary to enter the MTC on Wed., Feb. 15. Although this isn’t a “romantic” couple date, it is a highlight for us. Our usual couple outing will be replaced by an ice-cream date with children and grandchildren saying goodbye to an aunt!

I teach 5/6 grade class. We are having valentine exchanges, class party, and the 6th graders will have a dance with a dance card. By the end of the day, I will be happy to have a quiet dinner with hubby; however, I will probably visit grandchildren with valentine surprises. 🙂

Last year we went out to dinner. I hope we won’t do that again, we don’t have tons of good restaurants and the place was crowded, service was rushed and the food wasn’t very good. So we’ll probably celebrate with dinner another night. Quilter’s bunco would be fun. And I live in Utah, too. Thanks.

I’m going to craft with my awesome relatives! As for the night, I’m not quite sure. You never know whether to talk about it or if it’s a surprise. Either way as long as we don’t have to think about school, work, or cleaning the house for at least an hour 🙂

My husband was talking about a boyhood friend who had a sock monkey and my husband liked it but never had one of his own. For the big V day I’m making my hubby a blue sock monkey. Need to finish it up and wrap it up tonight. His new sock monkey already has a attitude that can be seen on his face, since this is my first attempt at the sock monkey experience, oh well, a little personality is a good thing, right?
    Have a great day,
    Nancy

This Valentines Day I will tend two of my cute little grandsons, watch three basketball games (Go OHS!) and then enjoy a great dinner with my husband. Hopefully I can fit in some time to applique my Saturday Sampler trick or treaters!
