Before jumping in to some fun gifts, a quick reminder that this Friday night is one of my FAVORITE events at American Quilting: Moonlight Madness! That means the store is open in the evening from 7 – 10. Come and get some great gift ideas, see some guest pattern designers and get a holiday treat. Lots of prizes and tons of fun!

Browsing around on the web I found some fun gift ideas for neighbors and friends. Here are my favorites:

Looking for something that isn’t sweet? This is what we take around to our neighbors every year – – it is called Challah bread and is a beautiful braided bread but is pretty easy to make. Find the recipe here.

Homemade Peppermint Stick hot chocolate mix! This sounds amazing. Recipe and instructions here.

Homemade delicious smelling potpourri. Just package this up and spread some yummy smells this season! Instructions here.

I loved these growing up – a heating bag! And how cute are these pieced ones? Find instructions here.

These boxes are hilarious! Give your friends (or your kids!) lumps of coal for Christmas…and put something fun inside the box like a pair of earrings, a bracelet, or anything small! Find how here.

Cookies in a jar, so they can mix them up whenever they have a sweet tooth attack. Love it. And click here for the mother-load of cookies in a jar recipes!

Cupcakes in a jar! These are all the craze right now and look pretty yummy. Instructions are here.

{Notice I took down my last post about upcoming events? That’s because I am completely insane and posted events from the beginning of NOVEMBER. I am a whole month behind, folks. Insane I tell you.}

    Thank you Amy and Staff for a wonderful shopping event! Mom and I bought several kits and wool and fabric, we had such a good time. We especially loved the thank you cookies we received as we left, is there any chance you could share the recipe or tell me where we could get more??! I’m craving them right now just writing about them! Thanks again for the fun night! May your holidays be Merry and Bright, g
