I started the Quartered Star block, and it looks like there is a mistake in step #2. I think the beige rectangle should be cut into 4 rectangles that are 2 x 4 1/2″ each. If you cut them 2 1/2″ wide as originally written, they won’t line up in step #13. Has anyone else found this to be true?
My colored units were exact to the pattern, but when I sewed the grey pieces all together, my block ended up being 8 1/2″ squared. Do I cut off the excess or leave it alone? My grey pieces were also too long.
i think the finished measurement of B-block should be 8 1/2″ by 8 1/2″.
