Hi, It’s Amy from American Quilting.  I want to tell you about the “Stitching Society” that I am teaching for the last time in my shop. This last series of Stitching society begins in January!
I am also starting it again as an online Program.  Here is information about that program, whether you decide to take the class at the shop or online . . .

The purpose of Stitching Society is to learn embroidery stitches. Throughout the year, you will learn and perfect 54 embroidery stitches. You will practice your stitches by appliqueing motifs onto hexagons, and then embellishing those motifs.
You can stitch your hexagons and then assemble them into a quilt, or you can make the hexagons into the small projects, or you can do both. the small projects are really fun ways for you to practice your stitches.

Each month you will receive 15 new “motif” designs. This means that you will get 180 different motifs by the end of the year. You will also get a bonus set of alphabet motifs.

Each month you will also receive a printed stitch guide for each new stitch that you will be learning. You will assemble all the stitch guides into a book.
The “My Stitches” book cover is one of the small project patterns that you will get, it is pictured in the center, below.

You will also get a yummy recipe, and a small project pattern that utilizes the hexagon motifs.

There are 2 specialty hexagon rulers that are included in the cost of the program.

The cost of the program is $150 for the year. If you are taking the course online, you will need to make an additional one-time payment of $30 for the shipping for the entire year.
There are a few additional items that are needed the first month, such as a binder and the hexagon rulers. We include those at no extra charge.

You may call me directly or the shop to enroll. We can process your credit card over the phone when you register.
When you call to register, please specify if you are wanting to take the course online or at the shop. Tell the person helping you, your email address, phone #, address etc.

If you are taking the class at the shop, you be able to try new threads, purchase extra fibers, wools, etc that you are exposed to throughout the year.
If you are taking the course online, I will email you with descriptions of any of the extra items we are highlighting and you can have them sent with your packet.
These items are optional and you decide if you want any of them or not.

Each month I will also give you access to video tutorials. The tutorials will teach you how to do the stitches, give you the option to read an interesting lesson, and see how to make the small project pattern for that month.
These videos are published in a way, so only those who are enrolled in the Stitching Society can view them. This is part of what you are paying for. In order for you to view the videos, you must have a gmail email account.
If you do not have one, we will assign one to you and give you all the information on how to access the videos.

The first shipment for the online program will begin the week of January 5th. If you would like to take the class in person at my shop, the class begins January 7th. Time of class at the shop is from 1-3 pm.

I hope this helps with any questions you may have about the stitching society. Please let me know as soon as you can if you are interested as we need to get things up and running.  Please email me with any questions you may have.
Here are a couple of photos of some of the small projects to show you a sample of some of the hexagon motifs. Just think – 180 cute designs to stitch.
